Barbeque Sauce
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 med. onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup Worcestershire or A-1 sauce
- 2 tsp. minced garlic
- 1 6 oz. Can tomato paste
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. dried basil
In a saucepan, heat the oil until a haze starts forming
Add the garlic & onion, simmer 3 or 4 minutes
Add tomato paste & vinegar, stir well
Add honey, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, basil & mustard
Simmer over low heat, uncovered, 10 to 15 minutes
I usually make a double portion & freeze what I don't use.
